What to expect after you submit

- We’ll contact you if we need anything (container size, access notes, current service, etc.).
- Once confirmed, we’ll let you know your updated schedule and start date.

Does this change my trash service too?
No – this request applies only to recycling service frequency for Town of Truckee businesses. To accommodate for an additional day of recycling service, TTSD has re-arranged routes and commercial customers with 64 or 96-gallon trash cart service will have their trash collection day moved to Tuesdays. Customers with a trash dumpster will have no change to their trash service day.
Does this change my billing?
Recycling service is included at no additional cost when provided at a level equal to or less than your trash service. Standard delivery, removal, or exchange fees may apply for carts or dumpsters and are billed separately from regular service charges.
How soon can service start?
The increased recycling program begins on March 31, 2026. We will contact you to confirm your start date once your request has been reviewed.
What if I’m outside the Town of Truckee?
This form won’t apply, but we can still help—contact us and we’ll connect you with the correct service option.
How do I get a cart removed?
To have a recycling cart removed please contact our office and we will get that scheduled.
